Prehab consists of mobility and strength training geared towards correcting common muscle imbalances that lead to sport specific overuse injuries. Most athletes will develop postural changes caused by muscle imbalances related to repetitive motions specific to their sport. These muscle imbalances can lead to structural changes particularly in our legs, hips, back, neck, and arms eventually leading to overuse injuries.

Typically a Prehab program should begin 4-6 weeks prior to preseason training. At CPT, our Prehab program consists of a thorough postural assessment that addresses structural changes caused by muscle imbalances and fascial restrictions. Next, we develop a program that consists of Myofascial Release, strength training, postural training and self treatment options.

Keep yourself excelling on the field instead watching from the sidelines.
